Product Upgrades & Technical Progress
With the Hashverse targeting a summer 2023 release, the Eng team has been heads down implementing the new elements for V1 of the Hashverse to deliver the best possible user experience ๐ช
The big focus over the last two weeks was the engineering work to enable the new, intuitive onboarding experience for both natives and normies. Much of the components of this new flow have been built, and we will continue to polish and refine this experience prior to testing โ๏ธ
In parallel, weโve continued to work on other new elements:
- 100+ new custom characters
- Additional Alpha Allegiances
- Additional Quests and storylines
- Additional opportunities to earn XP and HFT
- And more! ๐
On the liquidity side of things, the Eng team has been building an internal tool suite to simplify onboarding for new market makers, minimizing the need to build ad-hoc functionality for each provider. More background work will be done to continue optimizing liquidity for all the tradooors on Hashflow ๐
The Stats
Last week, overall volume stayed above $89M with the ETH maxis, Arbinauts (๐,๐งก), and BNB ballers dominating the podium once again. DeFi summer 2.0 has arrived - let's heat things up! ๐ฅ
Basic Degenomics Featured Ohm Shah of Wallet Guard
Our Chief Degen Alan Caroll and CMO Andrew Saunders hosted another episode of Basic Degenomics, featuring Ohm Shah, Co-Founder of Wallet Guard! ๐ก
No surprise, Ohm dropped a knowledge bomb on web3 security and shared many best practices for degens to keep their precious crypto safe. This is not one to skip! ๐
Hashflow Governance Updates
With the โUpgrade the Hashflow Governance structureโ proposal passing, last week we implemented the proposed new process with the following key changes:
- The governance forum structure was simplified accordingly.
- Governance process article was updated to explain the new flow.
- There are now two separate voting portals on Snapshot for Temp Checks and HIPs.
Since this update, 3 Temp Checks have been submitted for initial on-chain voting and 1 RFC proposal is undergoing active discussion:
- ๐ก๏ธ [Temp Check] Upgrade rewards expiration algorithm
- ๐ก๏ธ [Temp Check] Re-assign forfeited unvested grants and staking rewardsโฆ
- ๐ก๏ธ [Temp Check] Support trader claim trading rewards for API source
- ๐ [RFC] Grant application: Hashflow Protocol Alerts
It's exciting to see continued participation in Hashflowโs governance. Since the launch of governance, weโve had 50 proposals, 20 polls, and 8100+ on-chain votes!
