Hashverse Progress & Product Upgrades

Our Eng team did a mega sprint once again last week. Here’s the lowdown on the latest progress:

  1. Hashverse Smart Contracts are ready for audit! They will come with cross-chain capabilities and will be the foundation of Hashverse Characters and Quests.
  2. Two more market makers have onboarded to support the Polygon ecosystem — liquidity on the network will be getting deeper.
  3. veHFT governance was fully implemented on Snapshot! As a result, the threshold to submit a formal proposal for voting on Snapshot has now been lowered to 100K HFT. Time for the Hashgang to send more proposals out for the ballet!

Overall volume last week stayed above $119M. Ethereum had maintained the lead as usual, with Aribtrum taking the runner-up spot for the first time:

"Basic Degenomics" Premieres

Last week, our ringleader @NicoleBehnam and Chief Degen @alancarroII hosted the "Basic Degenomics" — a new Twitter Space series that discusses life in crypto, trending topics, and breaking news in the space.

In the spirit of a community-led protocol, we had members of the Hashgang join us on stage to share their thoughts, with ~400 Hashgang members tuning in. Thanks for all your participation in the first episode — we can't wait for the next one!

Community Highlights

Many of the Hashgang already know the members of our Hashmods team since the early days. With all the newcomers since the launch of HFT, we wanted to start featuring the Hashmods in addition to community members on Fridays going forward.

While at it, let's give a huge congrats to tD on his promotion as a newly minted “Capo”! He’s been a machine on our Discord and Telegram since last year, assisting the community every chance there is — well deserved 💪

Also, DonaldP, Watacchi, and CaoHa are now officially “Soldiers”! They have already been major contributors to the projects since the early days, so no surprise and more or less a formality at this point 🙏

Lastly, let's welcome Alvin as our next Hashmod “Rookie”! He has already been a strong contributor within the Turkish 🇹🇷 community since last year. Welcome to the fam ser!
